ASHELDHAM & DENGIE PARISH COUNCIL
WELCOME TO THE PARISH COUNCIL WEBSITE
No meeting takes place during the months of August and January.
The next Parish Council meeting will be held on Monday 2nd September 2019, at 7.00 p.m.
The meeting will take place in
Dengie Village Hall, Manor Road, Dengie
and will be followed with an event commemorating Merchant Navy Day on 3rd September by raising the Red Ensign on the new Flag Pole which has been generously donated and installed by Mr. Richard Pond. Refreshments will be served and a raffle will take place to raise funds for the Merchant Navy Fund.
All are welcome to attend.
This is to commemorate the anniversary of the outbreak of the Second World War but also it was the day that the SS Athenia was torpedoed just a few hours after hostilities were declared and the loss of 128 passengers and crew, although many hundreds of merchant ships and thousands of seafarers lost their lives, 3rd September became enshrined as “Merchant Navy Day”.
Residents are encouraged to attend the meeting, where they can raise issues of concern under the Agenda heading "Public Forum"
If a resident wishes to have any matter discussed at a Parish Council meeting
