EMERGENCY SUPPLY OF BDC RECYCLING RUBBISH BAGS
All households receive a regular supply of Recycling Bags direct from BDC. If however you run out before the next scheduled delivery you can obtain an emergency supply from the Clerk.

With concessionary rates for the villagers of Belchamp St Paul, Belchamp Otten, Belchamp Walter and also Ovington and Tilbury Juxta Clare, it provides great value for money.

We have regular classes at the Community House which include Retro Fit and Boxercise, Evergreens, Art Club, Morris Men and Tai Chi. Kathy can provide contact numbers if you are interested in finding out more about any of these groups.
EVERGREEN OVER 60s CLUB
Meets every fortnight at the Community House from 2pm.
Our meetings are informal with a game of cards and bingo. We also hold a raffle and some of our members bring produce to sell. A cup of tea and a biscuits is always welcome. A chance to meet and chat with friends and neighbours, so do come and join us. If transport is a problem then we can probably arrange a lift for you.

In order to provide better engagement with residents, specific Officers and PCSO's from the Braintree Community Policing Team have been allocated geographic areas of responsibility. Our villages will come within the 'Halstead area' and this will be covered by 5 members of the CPT. Their details are as follows:

BELCHAMP & DISTRICT TENNIS CLUB

All local bus services have been replaced by DaRT (Demand Responsive Transport). To book the minibuses, operated by Arrow Taxis Essex Ltd (on behalf of ECC), ring 01621 874411.
The service is available Monday to Saturday between 6am and 8pm and trolleys and wheelchairs can be accommodated. Bookings can be made up to 2 months ahead or with as little as 2 hours notice (subject to availability). They can be for individuals or groups and will pick you up from a point which suits you. You can use the service to go shopping in Sudbury, Halstead and Haverhill or to connect with other bus or train services in those towns. It can also be used for health appointments in Clare and Sible Hedingham and for the Community Hospitals in Sudbury and Halstead. Alternatively you can use it to get to work or college or just to visit friends in local villages. Concessionary bus passes will be accepted (Mon to Fri after 9am and all day Saturday).
