Development
Brentwood Borough Council is the local government authority responsible for planning decisions for this parish. Brentwood Council seeks the opinion of the Parish Council about individual planning applications but all decisions remain solely that of the Borough unless the matter is further refered to the Government's Inspectorate. The Borough is also required under national legislation to prepare a Local Development Plan that provides for thousands of extra homes to be built over the next few years. In the case of Brentwood, the Local Development Plan has yet to be agreed with Government.
