Brockwell Meadows is a local nature reserve,on the banks of the River Blackwater in Kelvedon. It is owned and managed by Kelvedon Parish Council in conjunction with the Brockwell Group using a management regime agreed with English Nature. It is about 11 acres of water meadow, hedgerow,woodland and a pond.The reserve is accessible at all times, for the enjoyment of local residents.
The Brockwell Group has received grants from Awards For All to publish a booklet of the wildlife of Brockwell meadows,to install Intepretation Boards at all three entrances to the Meadows and to install the"Frank Siggers Trail"a nature trail for the young.
