WATCH YOUR SPEED WHEN DRIVING IN BULMER

To view statistics obtained from the Speed Indicator Device click here

Volunteers from the Parish are now monitoring the speed of traffic as you may have noticed at various locations in Bulmer at different times and days of the week.

This monitoring is carried out with the aid of a 'radar gun' and the support of Essex Police.

The radar gun is able to display the speed of a vehicle/motorcycle approaching or moving away from the 'radar-gun'.

Any vehicle logged as exceeding the speed limit with a tolerance of 35mph in a 30mph area, 46mph in a 40mph area, is reported to Essex Policewho will then send a letter to the owner of said vehicle, politely requesting that they refrain from 'anti-social behaviour' on our highways.

A persistent offender may have further action taken which could result in an offence and a fine.

The volunteers also are able to record & report anyone seen driving and using a MOBILE PHONE.

The tables below show the results of sessions at various locations within Bulmer for 2008 and 2007.
