Four Voluntary and Community Sector organisations work in partnership to deliver a targeted service to help older people in Essex. The “Community Agents Essex” project is a countywide network of agents and volunteers who will support older people and informal carers to find and develop independent living solutions from within their local community.
Community Agent – 4 Posts  Chelmsford area (2 posts)  Witham area  Burnham on Crouch and Southminster area
Salary £8.43 per hour plus travelling expenses Home based (time and travel paid from home) Flexible working hours between 10 and 20 hours per week (Minimum 10 hours)
We are looking for a Community Agents to operate in the Chelmsford, Witham and Burnham on Crouch areas within Essex. Full training and support will be provided but you will need a good knowledge of the local community and the district.
Applicants must be able to demonstrate that they can proactively engage with and support older people in the community often on a one to one basis. Working as part of a team you must have excellent spoken and written communication skills and possess the ability to solve problems. You must have good IT skills, a full driving licence and use of your own car.
All appointments will be subject to a DBS check.

Community Agents Essex Enquiries Officer 

24.5 Hours per week Salary: circa £18,000 per annum pro rata Reporting to: Community Services Manager   
We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic, well organised Enquiries Officer for the Community Agents Essex project. 
The person will operate a telephone/email information line to receive new enquiries and provide information about the Community Agents Essex project. The post will report to the Community Services Manager employed by Rural Community Council of Essex.
Applicants must be able to demonstrate clear and sensitive spoken and written communication skills. You will need to be well organised, accurate, possess excellent IT skills and have an awareness of places within the County of Essex.
This appointment will be subject to a DBS check.
This role will be based at: RCCE House in Feering, Essex but a full driving licence and use of your own car would be desirable.

 A120 Panners Interchange to Galley Roundabout resurfacing
I am writing to provide you with details of resurfacing work we will soon be carrying out on the A120 eastbound carriageway between Panners Interchange and the Galley Roundabout on behalf of Highways England. This scheme forms part of a wider package of works to deliver essential maintenance and improvements on A12, A11, A14 and A120 in Essex and Suffolk.
This work involves resurfacing the carriageway, along with road marking renewal and reflective stud replacement.
We will start this work on 8 February and plan to be finished on 1 March. 
We will be working overnight between Monday and Friday 8pm to 6am. 
Traffic restrictions 
To complete this work safely and minimise disruption to the travelling public, we will fully close the A120 eastbound carriageway between these locations.  A clearlysigned diversion route will be in place via the A131, A130 and A12.
