BUS SERVICE 3

The County Council has awarded a contract to Essex & Suffolk DaRT CIC to run a replacement service for Service 3 using a 16 seat minibus, subject to a call in period that ended on 5 January. The new service will run to the existing route and offers broadly comparable journey opportunities. This is a Monday to Friday Service with a different timetable for Saturdays. Full timetables will be published via Traveline. As the operator has to source vehicles and crew the serviced is not expected to start until 22 January and will run until 27 July 2020.

The County Council has committed significant additional funding to this service and its future beyond 2020 will be largely dependent on its continued use.
