Elsenham Flower Show Society celebrates its 33rd Flower Show in 2018
Our Show is held in August each year in the Village Hall, Elsenham and typically attracts around 400 entries.
Our 2018 Flower Show is on Saturday 18th August 2018 on the Playing Field & in Elsenham Memorial Hall at 3pm.

We have tried to make the children’s classes varied and interesting. You could encourage your children to make a pressed flower picture, a vegetable wheelbarrow or perhaps a mini bird box. The baking section contains a variety of different ideas, including ones for children. Why not get practising making Chocolate Brownies over the Easter holidays? Gentlemen, yours is an Apple Pie this year. Our new Show Stopper class last year proved such a success, it has again been included, so now’s the time to let your imagination going wild!! We hope you also like the selection in the Flower Arranging, Handicraft and Photography Classes, again hopefully something for everyone.
- It is not all about Flowers though.
We also have:
- Vegetable and Fruit Classes,
- Baking and Produce (jams and chutneys),
- Flower Arranging,
as well as
- Handicrafts and Photography.
- Most sections have a “Children Only” Class and the
- Cookery section has a “Men Only” Class.
- Many of the Classes/Sections carry trophies.
- The overall winner of the Show is presented with the Elsenham Parish Council Shield.
Village Open Gardens was held on Sunday 1st July 2018 1pm to 5pm
Our AGM was held in the Memorial Hall at 8.00 p.m. on Friday 12th January 2018.
Every year, in May, we hold a Plant Sale in the Memorial Hall to help raise funds to put on the Show in August.
A mix of home-grown vegetable and ornamental plants are on sale, as well as home-made refreshments. Any contributions of spare plants are always welcome. All proceeds from the sale will go towards funding our annual Flower Show.
