Santa 2019

Santa is visiting Elsenham! He will be in the Village Hall on Saturday, 7 December at 1pm so make a note on the calendar to come along.

Kids can visit Santa - he will have presents for those who have been good.

As we were so busy last year we have asked Santa to come for an extra hour this year, so we will be open from 1 - 4pm. (Thank you Santa!).

We’ve also rearranged the layout to make space for more tea tables and make it a bit easier to move round. We want everyone to have a great time.

Entry is £2 for children including a visit to Santa and 50p for adults.

Delicious homemade refreshments, sideshows and free kids craft activities. Plus the WI are out in force with a craft stall to get your Christmas shopping off to a good start.

Before then, the Santa 2019 organising team is busy sorting out stalls and games and we need some help (please!):

• Donations of bottles for the bottle tombola - wine, spirits, beer, soft drinks, all donations gratefully received. Also any unwanted items suitable for the general tombola prizes.

• Cakes and biscuits, small or large, but especially individual cakes or biscuits for the children to buy on the day - donations can be dropped off at the Village Hall on the day or contact Sue Johnson

Please contact Sue Johnson email: with  the subject Santa 2019.

We look forward to seeing you, all - children, mums and dads, brothers and sisters, aunties and uncles, friends and neighbours, on 1 December.

Sponsorship opportunities

In the past, local businesses and individuals have been very generous and provided donations towards printing the publicity leaflet and providing the gifts for the children. The flyer costs us about £80, the gifts several hundred pounds, so any amount large or small will help. We have also received donated prizes for the tombola; vouchers for beauty treatments or meals, bottles of spirits or boxes of chocolates.

If you or your business would be willing to get involved in this way, that would really be appreciated. The Santa event is not a profit-making or fund-raising event, it’s just organised so the kids in the village can have fun and get in the Christmas spirit.
