The fall in reported incidents under the "Other Crime" category (63.69%) can be attributed to a change in recording procedure.

Since December 2012 most cases of fraud are reported centrally (Action Fraud) rather than recorded locally.

The overall comparision of all crime becomes a little misleading if "Other Crime" is included, giving a 1.88% fall in crime for the year.

However, if "Other Crime" is excluded the figure becomes a 1.03% increase, although still not accurate this gives a more realistic figure.
