Summer Party Success

On Saturday 21st June a new event was undertaken by Kids in Need at Theydon Bois Village Hall which was most ably organised by a sub-committee led by Melvin our Vice-chairman and assisted by Debbie, Joanna, Gemma, Beverley, Linda, Sue, John, Lol, Rowan, Ricky and the Chair of Kids in Need’s Trustees, John Miller.

It was extremely well attended with everybody enjoying their fish & chip supper together with a chocolate fountain, popcorn machine and a vast variety of sweets and goodies.

As a bit of fun two games took place throughout the evening, namely ‘Spin the Wheel’ and ‘Play Your Cards Right’ giving the guests the opportunity to win various prizes. The equipment for these two games was provided by Rowan who also supplied much of the decorations.

The merriment was happily assisted by a free bar where a variety of cocktails was served together with other libations such as beer and soft drinks.

At approximately 9.15pm we were then entertained by a duet entitled Heartbeat the lead singer of which, other than singing modern and popular songs, kept a high standard of singing going for over two hours with many of the guests dancing.

Prior to this the draw for a raffle took place whereby three of our attending Trustees drew the tickets for the lucky winners.

Everybody appeared to have a great time and we look forward to seeing many of Kids in Need’s friends and supporters once again especially at our forthcoming Dinner & Dance which is set for Saturday 20th September at Manor of Groves.

There are still a few spaces left so should you still be interested in attending please let us know as soon as possible by contacting Lol on 07956 808788.
