Organisations

Parish Council: Seven members from the community form the Council and meet on the second Monday each month (except January and August) in the Community Centre at 20.00 hours. The public is welcome. The Parish Council is entitled to raise a rate (or Precept) through the Community Charge to spend on village affairs. This figure is set annually and for 2014-2015 is £10,000.00

Community Centre: On Upper Green this building is supported by funds raised in the community. It is available for hire (01799 550969) and is run by a committee of residents.

The Community Centre Committee is currently investigating the possiblity of redeveloping the community centre.  The results of the recent survey can be found here.  As the project progresses a standalone website will be available.  Please check here for details. Parish Magazine: Published monthly and shared with neignbouring parishes, this is an invaluable guide to events, trade advertisements and a genral 'feel' of the area. It costs £6.00 per year delivered. Contact Ken Rivett 01799 550240 if you would like to subscribe.

Playground: Newly refurbished in 2004 and extended in 2010 and owned and managed by the Parish Council, it is situated on Upper Green and is available to all.

Churches: St John the Evangelist is the Anglican Church situated off Bull Lane and has regular weekly services. For details see the Church notice board. There are a Baptist Chapel and Faith Hall on Upper Green with regular services.

Langley Church Matters Team - is an organisation promoting the re-ordering of the Church as a multi-functional community space - main contact Jane Woodhouse 01799 550765
