As part of their Centenary Celebrations the Loughton Club, which has excellent facilities for local activities at its premises at 8 Station Road, in keeping with its tradition held fund raising events in support of two local charities, Oakview School and the Loughton Stroke Club.
As a result on Tuesday 14th December, the Secretary, John Mahoney, presented a cheque for £640 to the Loughton Stroke Club.
This was gratefully accepted by Club Secretary Madeleine Keel, accompanied by Treasurer Margaret Aked. Madeleine said that this gift would enable the club to pay for an outing for its members as well as contribute towards the cost of the New Year Party.
