Welcome to the Marks Tey Parish Council website


Marks Tey Parish Council includes the villages of Marks Tey and Little Tey.

Both are situated approximately six miles west of Colchester.



The Council provides recreation facilities, including a children's playground, skateboard park, basketball court, football pitches and the Parish Hall complex. For a list of clubs and associations that regularly use our hall, please click here

The Parish Hall has three halls available for hire and information about them (and hiring enquiries) can be found on the Parish Hall Hire page of this website.

Emerging Local Plan and Local Development Plan

August 2017  Marks Tey Parish Council response to the CBC Local Plan Consultation click here

 Nov 2017. The Local Plan has been submitted by CBC for Government Inspection which will take until summer 2018. The Parish Council have asked to make submissions at any Inspection in Public. CBC are also consulting on a Local Development Plan giving more detail on the Garden Community proposed next to, and around us one of which is known locally as West Tey and straddles the Colchester and Braintree district borders. The ‘Issues and Options Consultation’ is live and runs until Friday 2 February 2018.  This consultation is the first of 3 separate opportunities to comment on the proposals as they progress.
