The Society holds two open meetings a year, which consist of news and updates of local interest, Society business, and talks by invited speakers.  Past talks include Heritage Environment in the Epping Forest District, Protecting and Celebrating Trees, Conservation Management, Ancient Meadowland and The Behaviour and Ecology of the Badger.

The Society also distributes quarterly newsletters, which contain local news, views from members, details of forthcoming meetings and events, book selections and much more.

There are normally three guided walks a year, usually held at St. George’s-tide, Midsummer, and Autumn, enjoying some of the quiet footpaths in the area, and usually with a break for refreshments.
