Panfield is served by the mobile library, every three weeks on Saturdays (see below for information). It carries a wide selection of books and other items and you can also reserve books, DVDs, etc if the item you require isn't in stock. It is still free to borrow books but please note that there is a small charge to borrow DVDs of £2.05 single hire charge from the mobile library.  A full list of other library charges is available here.

The mobile library is also wheelchair accessible.

 

Mobile library services changed from 3 April 2018

As mentioned above please be aware that the mobile library now visits Panfield once every three weeks on a Saturday in Meadow Close; it no longer stops in Queens Gardens. The new timetable came into force from 3 April 2018.

Essex Libraries Summer Reading Challenge 2018

 

The Summer Reading Challenge is delivered by libraries and produced by The Reading Agency. It is open to all children (with a special version for the under threes), free of charge. In 2018 a partnership with the Beano is giving this year’s challenge a comic twist!
