The council must hold an AGM and least three ordinary meetings a year. Meetings are usually held in the village hall in alternate months, please check the agenda for the start time. Notices of meetings with the agenda are placed on the Parish Notice Board and the Parish Council website.

Before the formal business of a meeting takes place members of the public may address the meeting and question the Chairman. If any question relates to matters in previous minutes of the council at least three days notice must be given to the Clerk so that he can have them to hand for the meeting. The District and County Councillors may also give their reports to the meeting.

The agendas for the Parish Council meetings are set at the discretion of the Clerk who will consider any reasonable suggestion.

During the formal part of the meeting the council make policy decisions on matters which have been previously announced to the public in the agenda. Under the heading of 'Planning Applications made to Braintree District Council' members will be asked for approval and comments on individual applications. More general topics may arise under exchange of information, the more significant items for decision being added to the agenda of the following meeting.

Additional meetings to discuss planning applications may be scheduled, as required, subject to the usual statutory advance notification.

Each meeting includes a 15 minute session at the beginning of the meeting for Parishioners to comment on agenda items or ask questions.

All meetings are open to members of the public and the press.
