Network Rail have applied to the Department of Transport for the permanent closure of a number of pedestrian level crossings in the Anglia Region including: Crossing E48 Wheatsheaf adjacent to Brakey Grove on the public footpath route between Station Road and Wheatsheaf Lane, Wrabness.
Wrabness Parish Council has objected to this proposed closure and a public local inquiry has been convened by DfT into the proposed closure and related footpath issues.
