Here are some of our favourite excuses for not joining, and our answers:
| I've never been in a choir | (Yippee!! We can train you our way!) |
| I can't read music | (Nor can Stevie Wonder) |
| I have trouble hearing | (Beethoven was deaf) |
| I'm tone deaf | (You will fit in perfectly) |
| I don't have the time | (There's a clock in the foyer) |
| I can't sing a solo | (Don't worry, we won't ask you!) |
| I don't do auditions | (Neither do we) |
| I tend to go flat | (Don't worry the piano hasn't been tuned) |
| I don't have a very good voice | (Lee Marvin need we say more?) |
We rehearse on Tuesdays at 8pm in the Mayflower Hall, on the corner of Chapel Street and Hillside Road, Billericay.
