Some details and images from the Classics Concert

On Saturday 24th September Eastwood Chorale, ably supported by the Eastwood Ensemble gave us a truly delightful evening with a spirited performance of the Schubert Magnificat and the Haydn Nelson Mass plus 3 shorter pieces.  The soloists all added a touch of polish to the performance.

A highlight of the evening was a first public performance of the Beethoven piano concerto No. 1 by Daniel Roberts.  His phrasing and control beautifully emphasised the lyrical nature of the work.  It sounded much too well polished to be a first performance.

This really made this a memorable event so we shall be seeking to persuade  them to perform for us again as soon as possible.
