Hadstock Village Fête
Hadstock Fete Saturday 20th June 2009Hadstock's annual village fete was a huge success, raising a record-breaking £8000 for St Botolph's church and the village hall. Visitors came from far and near to enjoy the wide range of traditional stalls and activities around the village green, Hadstock Hall and the churchyard. The highlights of this year were the biannual classic car show, Hadstock Silver Band, farm animals from Saffron Walden County High Farm Club and a teddy bear parachute jump from the top of St Botolph's church tower. The newly-reopened King's Head pub provided an evening barbecue and live music during the evening which was greatly enjoyed by all those who had worked very hard to make the day a resounding success.
