FOOTPATH THIRTEEN AND PLUMBEROW MOUNT.

The Council has received several complaints from people trying to get from footpath thirteen to Plumberow Mount and being prevented by mounds of earth that have been cleared from the stream. Although residents have been using this shortcut for a number of years, it has never been a public right of way and people have been using it at the landowner’s discretion. Unfortunately, recent use by cyclists and horse riders has been causing a nuisance, and so the owner has been obliged to block-up the access.

Please do not try and cross from the footpath to the mount, there is no public access. The official access to Plumberow Mount is from Plumberow Avenue or Appleyard Avenue, and the public access to footpath thirteen is form the town centre by the fish and chip shop, Lower Road and through St. Peter and Paul’s church.
