Following on from previous consultations Rochford District Council have arranged an exhibition on the emerging Hockley Area Action Plan.  This will be displayed in Hockley Library from mid-afternoon on the 14th August 2012 until 28th August 2012.  A further formal consultation will be held later in the year, but Rochford District Council welcomes comments at this stage.

Comment forms will be available in the Library to complete and return.  We would encourage all residents to take the time to comment on the proposed plans.

The Library opening hours are: Tues; Thursday, Friday and Saturday 9.00 - 17.30.

A Public Meeting will be held at Hawkwell Village Hall on Thursday 20th September 2012 at 2.30pm. The purpose of the meeting is to establish if there is sufficient local interest to set up a Hockley & Hawkwell branch of the U3A.  Entry is free. Ashley Thompson is a Choral Scholar at Chelmsford Cathedral.  He wants to set up a local Community Choir in Hockley, "Triple H Community Choir", (Hockley, Hawkwell & Hullbridge).
