Barnston Village Hall is the community centre for Barnston Essex and surrounding area. We are run as a charity hall providing a space for community groups and others to socialize and get together. We have many groups who use the hall regularly and welcome new members.

Downham is a small village located on the outskirts of Chelmsford in Essex. It has a church and a village hall and is part of the South Hanningfield Parish. The hall has various weekly activities taking place benefiting the local community and is also open to hire for parties, meetings, dances, weddings and other social occasions.

Flitch Green Community Centre provides quality indoor sports, recreational and club facilities for the residents of Flitch Green and surrounding areas. New Hockley Village Women's Institute A brand new daytime Women's Institute has opened in Hockley. Meetings are held on the 3rd Friday of every month at the Old Firestation (opposite Hockley Library) from 10am - 12pm. They are looking for new members aged 18-118! Everyone welcome!
A lively Circle Dance group for 40+ at St Peter’s Church Hall, Hutton on Wednesday afternoons during term time. With folk dances and music from around the world, circle dance is a great way to gently improve fitness and have fun. There are no complicated moves and you don’t need a partner.

Sturmer Community Hub is a website for the village of Sturmer and surrounding area. We aim to provide information for the local community and signpost residents to the information they need. We hope to gain feedback on what the residents want on the website. The website has been provided as a result of the aims of the Sturmer Fayre Group.
