Downham Village Hall is available to hire by the hour or day for Weddings, Christenings, Birthdays, Wedding Anniversaries, Parties, Meetings, Dances, Clubs and Societies.

A committee of volunteers manage the running of the village hall where different activities and events take place during the year. South Hanningfield Parish Council are the Custodian Trustee of the hall.

The hall has all the facilities that are required such as a fully equiped kitchen, which can double up as a bar facility. If you wish to sell alcohol at your event then a licence is available by arrangement.

The Hall currently has a capacity of 110 people with it reducing to 80 for a comfortable sit down formal occassion. It also has its own dedicated car park.  

CURRENT HALL HIRE RATES  

Monday – Friday £12 per hour (minimum charge £24.00)

Saturday 10am – 11pm £130     Saturday – Part Day e.g.2pm – 6pm £60  

Saturday Evening 6pm – 11pm £70

 Sunday 12noon – 6pm Flat rate of £70
