Regal Busways

 

Essex County Council has received revised registrations from Regal Busways, to revise the following  services which take affect from 12/8/2013.

Revised registration -   Service 1,1a,1b, - (Oxney Green) - Chelmsford -  East Hanningfield – Canvey
 
Revised registration –  service 3 – Chelmsford – East Hanningfield - Rayleigh – Southend

Cancelled registration  Service 4 – Oxney Green – Chelmsford – Rettendon – Wickford – Basildon Industrial Estates – Pitsea Broadway 


The routes and times of these services have been revised with some reductions in the level of service, however, the majority of journey requirements are maintained.

Service 4 has been withdrawn, however the majority of journeys can be made by existing services.

Essex County Council is not taking any action as a result of these changes, which have been made as a commercial decisions by Regal Busways.

Sunday and bank holiday services 11A provided by Regal Busways will continue as before using the timetable dated 14th. January, 2007.

The timetable for the above services, the 15A, which run through the parish along Southend Road from Church Road to Rettendon crossroads and travels between Chelmsford and Wickford, service 4 which also runs along Southend Road and other routes are available on-line.

 Number 5 service

This is a Thursday morning service from East Hanningfield to Maldon High Street, Tesco and Morrisions.  It leaves the Windmill in East Hanningfield at 9.40am and returns at 1.45. The route runs through Bicknacre, Danbury, Woodham Walter and Beeleigh.

 

 

WHAT TO DO IF YOU HAVE A COMPLAINT ABOUT A SERVICE 

 

Complainants should write to the operator with their complaint and then forward the complaint on to the Traffic Commissioner if they do not get a response from the operator or are not satisfied with the response.  The Traffic Commissioner will require that the complaint is put in writing to the operator in the first instance. Complaints should include date, scheduled time of service and direction of journey (e.g. Southend to Chelmsford) and details of complaint.

The Bus Appeals Body is an independent body set up by the Confederation of Passenger Transport and UK bus and coach operators to offer an independent review of complaints arsing from the operation of local bus and scheduled coach services. Chelmsford Community Transport

 

Chelmsford Community Transport provides transport for people who reside in Chelsmford who have mobility problems who are unable to use conventional public transport.  All minibuses are wheelchair accessible and wheelchair restraints and safety belts are provided.
