To make your site more interesting and informative you can also include images, documents and links on the pages you have created.

Adding images and documents is a two-step process. You must first upload your image or documents to the ‘Assets Library' to ensure they can be seen by other online users. Once the image or document is uploaded to the library you can add it to pages on your site.
You can use the same method outlined below to upload as many documents, images, audio or visual clips to the site as you require.

NOTE: Images must be saved in either JPEG (.jpg), PNG (.png), or GIF (.gif) formats

Adding images

  • Edit this page
  • Choose Content Management tab
  • Choose Content sub tab
  • Place your cursor in the Body text field where you wish your image to be
  • Click Insert/edit image
  • Click the icon at the end of the field Image URL and complete the form in the bottom section Or add a new Image
  • Click Save and Publish
  • Complete the Title and Description fields in the section above to make it accessible to disabled people
  • Click Insert
  • When it is displayed in the window, click Save and Publish.
  • You can then resize by clicking on a corner of the image and holding mouse button down to drag to required size

Adding existing images

  • From your Home page click Edit this page
  • Choose the Content Management tab
  • Choose Content sub tab
  • Place your cursor in the Body text field where you wish your image to be
  • Click Insert/edit image tree icon
  • From Pick Image tab select an existing image by clicking its title
  • Complete the Image Description and Title fields to make it accessible
  • Click Insert
  • When it is displayed click Save and Publish
  • You can resize it as above and then click Save and Publish at the bottom of the page
  • Return to your Home page by following your site title link
  • Refresh if necessary (F5 or refresh/reload icon on your browser)

Adding documents 

  • From your Home page click Edit this page
  • Choose Content Management tab
  • Choose Content sub tab
  • Place your cursor in the Body text field where you wish your document link to be
  • Enter the title of your document and highlight it
  • Click Insert/edit link - the chain icon in the middle row 4th from the end
  • Click the icon at the end of the field Link URL and complete the form in the bottom section Or add new Asset
  • Choose Document from the dropdown
  • Complete File name and then click Browse in the Upload file field to find the document
  • Choose the document
  • Click Save and Publish
  • Choose Open in new window (-Blank) from the dropdown in the Target field
  • Click Insert
  • Click Save and Publish.
  • Return to your Home page and then find the page you were working on.  Your link should open up the document you've just added.  If you can't see the link click the browser Refresh icon or press F5

Adding existing documents

  • From your Home page click Edit this page
  • Choose Content Management tab
  • Choose Content sub tab
  • Place your cursor in the Body text field where you wish your document link to be
  • Enter the title of your document and highlight it
  • Click Insert/edit link chain icon in the middle row 4th from the end
  • Click the icon at the end of the field Link Url
  • Click + sign next to Assets
  • Click + sign next to Documents
  • Choose the document
  • Choose Open in new window (-Blank) from the dropdown in the Target field
  • Click Insert
  • Click Save and Publish
  • Return to your Home page and then find the page you were working on.  Your link should open up the document you've just added.  If you can't see the link click the browser refresh icon or press F5

Insert a link to a web page

  • Find the web page you want to create a link to and copy the web address (URL) eg http://www.bbc.co.uk
  • Select the page where you want to add the link
  • Click Edit this Page
  • Either simply paste the website address into the page
  • Or enter the text that describes the link e.g. News:
  • Highlight the text
  • Click the Add Link icon in the toolbar
  • A popup form appears - paste the full web address (URL) into the URL field on form
  • Click Add and your text will be made into a link e.g. News (will link to http://www.bbc.co.uk - please note that without the http://www. the link will not work)
  • Click Save changes or Save and Publish
  • Select the Preview link or click Back to homepage to view your changes
  • You may need to refresh your browser screen to see the changes - press F5 on your keyboard
