Proposed Statue of Herbert Columbine

Extract from the minutes of Town Council meeting on Thursday 11 August 2011, page number 51, minute number 99.

The Town Mayor, Councillor J K Halls MBE reported that Mr Turner, Butchers Lane, Walton, would like a life size statue of Herbert Columbine placed in Marine Gardens at a cost understood to be £50,000.00.  He requested a letter of Endorsement from the Town Council and a reduction of hire cost at the Columbine Centre for his Fundraising Evening.  It was agreed that the Town Clerk would send a letter of endorsement and include a grant request application form.
