Walton War Memorials

Work has started on restoring the plinth of the main war memorial at Walton.  The RAF memorial will also be cleaned as work proceeds.  The Town Council had a 50% grant from the Essex County Council's Community Initiatives Fund plus a grant from Tendring District Council.  However, as is so often the case, restoration work revealed previously overlooked problems requiring further work.  Something for another day and another budget.
