JOINING UP NIGHTS are Tues 12th May: access from 8pm for preregistered, everyone else 8.30pm, & Tues 19th May, all at 8pm - at SWCHS Sports Hall

Applications for membership are welcomed from families attending a feeder primary school for SWCHS or pupil's of SWCHS.

All the feeder schools to SWCHS in the area are sent information through the schools, w/c 27th April 2009.
Application forms are available to print out from this website  -
(or collect from 45 West Road, Saffron Walden, they are in a black box by front door). Sorry, there is no online or telephone booking system.
Application is by mail (or hand delivered) to the address on the form or by attending the siging up evenings, Tuesday's 12th and 19th May, at SWCHS, 8pm, at the Sports Centre. 

IN ADDITION TO PAYING THE MEMBERSHIP FEE, ALL MEMBERS MUST SIGN UP TO A ROTA FOR SEVERAL SESSIONS OF SITTINGS POOLSIDE.
Supervising duties include signing in members and providing adult support for the lifeguards. If you fail to attend THE POOL CANNOT OPEN for that session. SEE 'SUPERVISORS ROLE'.

The rota is available on the signing up evenings, first come, first served. However preregistered applicants have priority over those who apply on the night.
Preregistered applicants should attend on the 12th May.

Members are required to do btwn 2 and 3 sessions (depending on uptake), each last btwn 2 and 2.5 hours.

Members must pay a joining fee of £50 per family, which entitles the family to swimming for the entire summer.
(£30 for those on Income Support, £45 for single parents families with only one adult using the pool. Sorry, this does not extend to two parent households where only one adult uses the pool).
Visitors may accompany ticket holders by paying a fee of £1.50. At busy times members take precedence.

We cannot offer refunds due to malfunction, bad weather or any other matter beyond our control.

Members must sign to confirm they have read and agree to abide by the rules (see rules)
and that they have read and understood what is required of them as a supervisor (see supervising duties).

APPLYING in advance Forms available online and from 45 West Road a/a
There are advantages in APPLYING FOR MEMBERSHIP IN ADVANCE, you get the first opportunity to choose the dates for your sittings.
You may be required to do one less sitting it is proposed the 1st 20 who pre register AND turn up first on Tues 12th, will have 2 sittings and the next pre reg. 30 who arrive on the night will be first to lose their 3rd sitting. (depending on take up),

This will almost certainly secure you a place in this popular club, however, applications are treated on a 'first come first served' basis.
The form must be printed off (or collected from outside 45 West Road) and taken/posted to the address on the form (ENCLOSING PAYMENT; pay 'SWCHS PTA and friends').
You MUST still attend one of the signing up evenings.
Rota is made available first come first served, bring your diary.

Your membership tickets will be issued on the evening. You may send a representative to sign for your duties, but you must sign the rules in person for your tickets to be released.

You may apply for membership until we have reached capacity. Capacity will be indicated on the home page of this website.

You can access the rota poolside or online. Copies of rules ready to sign are available poolside, tickets will not be issued until a copy has been signed.

LIMITED MEMBERSHIP - for the holidays only - During the quieter months in the summer, whilst some families are away, there are places available allowing use of the pool
for the school holiday period only (state school term dates). If all the FULL memberships have been taken up you may be interested in this limited membership.
The cost is the same. There are no sitting requirements. You cannot swim in June or before the holidays in July but you may swim in September and the school holidays. Contact Charlotte Heales a/a.
