JOINING UP FOR 2009. IF YOU JOIN THIS WEBSITE YOU WILL BE ON OUR MAILING LIST AND THEREFORE THE FIRST TO KNOW WHEN THE CLUB STARTS ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS NEXT SEASON,
THE CLUB WAS FULLY SUBSCRIBED IN 2008.
Applications for membership are welcomed from families attending a feeder primary school for SWCHS or pupil's of SWCHS.
Members must pay a joining fee of £50 per family, which entitles the family to swimming for the entire summer. (£30 for those on Income Support, £45 for single parents families with only one adult using the pool). Visitors may accompany ticket holders by paying a fee of £1.50. At busy times members take precedence.
We cannot offer refunds due to malfunction, bad weather or any other matter beyond our control.
All the feeder schools to SWCHS, in the area, are sent information through the schools.
Application forms are available to print out from this website - (or collect from 45 West Road, Saffron Walden, they are in a black box by front door). Sorry, there is no online or telephone booking system. Application is by mail (or hand delivered) to the address on the form or by attending the open evenings.
All members sign up for supervising duties (see supervisors role) and must sign to confirm they have read and agree to abide by the rules (see rules).
There are advantages in SIGNING UP EARLY, you get the first opportunity to choose the dates for your sittings.
Once you are accepted as a member you will gain access to further pages on this website including the rota and contacts for members of the committee.
APPLYING in advance
This will almost certainly secure you a place in this popular club.
The form must be printed off and taken/posted to the address on the form. Applications will be processed in the order in which they are received. You MUST still attend one of the signing up evenings DATE TO BE PUBLISHED).First come first served. Your membership tickets will be issued on the evening.
APPLYING at the signing up evenings
You may also apply at one of our opening evening at the Sports Centre at SWCHS, places are not guaranteed, but are allocated on a 'first come first served' basis' and after those who have registered in advance. Please bring a completed application form (also available on the evening), your cheque book and your diary, access to the rota in the order of arrival. Your membership tickets will be issued on the evening.
APPLYING after this date
You may apply for membership until we have reached capacity. Capacity will be indicated on the home page of this website.
First, send your application and payment to the address on the application form.
Next you must sign up for duties, you can access the rota poolside or online.
LIMITED MEMBERSHIP - for the holidays only - During the quieter months in the summer, whilst some families are away, there are places available allowing use of the pool for the school holiday period only (state school term dates). If all the FULL memberships have been taken up you may be interested in this limited membership. The cost is the same. There are no sitting requirements. You cannot swim in June, before the holidays in July but you may swim in September and the school holidays.
