Ardleigh & District Horticultural Society, founded in 1893, aims to promote an interest in all aspects of horticulture. Evening meetings are held October to May (but not January). The Bradwell-on-Sea Flower Show is a yearly event that takes place in August at the Village Hall. The Chelmsford German Circle has been in existence since September 1990. It meets on the first floor of the Moulsham Mill, Parkway Chelmsford at 8:00 p.m. on the third Thursday in the month. Meetings are mostly conducted in the German language. They're informal and include films, guest speakers, quizzes and other social events.
Women aged 18 to 45 years, meet for social events, fun, friendship and fundraising.
