Gestingthorpe Community Broadband
The telephone lines to much of Gestingthorpe are unable to carry broadband.
The Parish Council, with the help of funding from Braintree District Council, engaged County Broadband Ltd to set up and run
a local system to bring high speed broadband to the Parish. The monthly fee depends on the rate purchased.
The 8Mb/s burst rate service gives practical speeds of over 6Mb/s.
For enquiries, demonstrations, or to order the service contact
Steve Bolter, the responsible Parish Councillor ( 01787 461604 sbolter@cbb4u.co.uk )

To contact County Broadband Ltd ring 0845 686 5000 or go to www.countybroadband.co.uk

Existing users having problems should go to the home page http://local.countybroadband.net

and click on Click Here to generate a fault ticket,

or if they cannot then e-mail support@countybroadband.net or phone the above number.

Villagers may not find it easy to pop into a council office, or may be do not know how to sort out a problem with a utility or the NHS.

Jane's job is to help people in the villages get the services to which they are entitled, whether by helping them make the correct contact or helping them with forms or letters.
