Parish Plan (new item)

The Future of Writtle: Our Parish PlanMeeting on 9 September

What are your priorities for our village in the future? A major consultation exercise is underway and all Writtle residents are invited to contribute.

As a first step, a meeting will be held on Saturday 9th September 2006 10.00am to 1.00pm in the Village Hall on The Green.

A steering group has been formed to start the process of compiling a parish plan, following the lead of many other villages around the country. The meeting on 9 September will formally establish a Parish Plan Association (comprising all Writtle residents), elect an Executive Committee and then discuss initial ideas for the future of Writtle.

These and other ideas for the future will be pulled together over the coming months and will be set out in our Parish Plan. The steering group wants input from all corners of, and groups in, the village: this is YOUR opportunity to say what kind of community you want in the years ahead.

To contact someone before the meeting or to offer suggestions or support, please contact the steering group chair, Ralph Bray (01245 422922 ralphbray@tiscali.co.uk).
