The Chelmsford German Circle has been in existence since September 1990. It meets on the first floor of the Moulsham Mill, Parkway Chelmsford at 8:00 p.m. on the third Thursday in the month. Meetings are mostly conducted in the German language. They're informal and include films, guest speakers, quizzes and other social events.

We are an informal, relaxed and sometimes cheeky local group, interested in all sorts of open debate and discussion. A diverse bunch, with all sorts of viewpoints, experience and backgrounds, we often amaze each other. We do straightforward debates on an issue, question times on items of topical interest and open forums with more audience involvement and "comedy" balloon debates.
