Amenities

The play areas are inspected on a weekly basis by the council, a 2 monthly basis by a contractor and a yearly basis by ROSPA

Records of inspections, defects and repairs are kept in the council offices

Trees inspected and corrective work carried out.

Grass is cut on a 2 weekly rota.

Golf is not allowed to be played or practiced on our playing fields

All areas contain litter and dog bins.

These areas are controlled by Lawford Parish Councils bye-laws

Amenity Sites

School Lane Playing Field, School Lane, Lawford.

This is large playing field that contains the following

Football Pitches,

Tennis Courts,

Under 7's enclosed play area, (won an award from Essex Playing fields Association 2006)

Additional play equipment.

Large sports pavilion.

The car park at the entrance has been resurfaced, lined with new fencing and gates provided. These gates will be locked from 9pm till 8am every day. There will be 2 days per year when the car park will be locked for the whole day, these dates will be published in advance.

Riverview Playing Field, Colchester Road, Lawford.

Waldegrave Playing Field, Waldegrave Way Lawford.

Owls Flight Dell Conservation Area Coxs Hill Lawford.

This is a large conservation area containing the Essex Way footpath, a community orchard containing 44 fruit trees and a pond.

It is maintained on a 5 year rolling programme in conjunction with Tendring District Council.

Community Orchard planted 2009, a project involving Lawford Parish Council, Tendring District Council and Manningtree High School.
