Energy saving

Uttlesford District Council has developed a strong strategy to combat climate change and promote energy efficiency within the district. Hadstock Parish Council supports these efforts and is keen to help any villagers who are interested in finding out more on these issues.

Uttlesford District Council

The Climate Change section of the website has useful tips on what you can do to save energy and combat climate change, information on available grants and details of the sustainable homes network, a non-profit organisation supporting energy efficiency in Uttlesford.

 

Essex County Council

The green house is a section of the ECC website which gives advice on saving energy around the home. 

 

The Energy Saving Trust

A non-profit organisation which has comprehensive information and guidance on many issues, from saving energy around the home to installing renewable energy sources (such as solar panels or heat pumps).

 

Micropower Council

A body representing micropower or microgeneration industries, promoting the use of renewable energy sources in the home. There are factsheets to download on several renewable energy sources, which give a general idea of the costs involved and the benefits. The website also has a useful FAQ page.
