FOOTPATHS

All Footpaths are Public Rights of Way and as such are the responsibility of Essex County Council Highways Department.

If you notice a problem with a Footpath you can report if on the ECC Highways website:

http://www.essex.gov.uk/Travel-Highways/Report-a-highways-problem/Pages/Report-a-problem.aspx

where the form has a map on which you can pinpoint where the problem is, and you will be given a tracking number so you can track the progress of the report.(This is also where you can report potholes etc in the roads).

FOOTPATHS OFFICER

After 14 years of service, Pauline Peacey is retiring from the role of Parish Footpaths Officer. The Chairman and Members of Panfied Parish Council, on behalf of the residents of Panfield, wish to thank Pauline for her work and congratulate her for the contribution she has made to our footpaths.  Under Pauline's stewardship we have regained five footpaths which were termed 'blocked', had approximately 30 way-marker posts and three finger-posts installed, added 5 bridges and had 2 cross-field footpaths reinstated and way-marked.

Pauline and her volunteer helpers have undertaken a tremendous amount of work to maintain and improve our footpaths over the years, and she will be sorely missed.

Danny Canning has very kindly offered his services to follow in Pauline's footsteps and is now our new Footpaths Officer.  If you notice anything which needs attention on one of our footpaths, please contact Danny on panfield.footpaths@outlook.com  or phone 07564 932971

or Jean Simmons, Clerk/RFO, Panfield Parish Council at panfield-parish-clerk@outlook.com 01376 324056
