The Baddow and Galleywood U3A is the local section of the UK-wide U3A - the University of the Third Age. This is a self-help organisation for people no longer in full time employment providing educational, creative and leisure opportunities in a friendly environment.
The Braintree Marxmen are a Marching and Concert Youth Band with Colour Guard. Membership is open to Girls and Boys from the age of 8 to 25. Players of any musical instrument and standard are welcome!
The Society encourages the study and understanding of local history through winter lectures and summer excursions. Studies extend beyond the immediate locality and cover SE England and East Anglia.
The Chelmsford German Circle has been in existence since September 1990. It meets on the first floor of the Moulsham Mill, Parkway Chelmsford at 8:00 p.m. on the third Thursday in the month. Meetings are mostly conducted in the German language. They're informal and include films, guest speakers, quizzes and other social events.
Chelmsford is twinned with Backnang in Germany and Annonay in France. The Town Twinning association is a voluntary organisation set up to provide links with its twinned towns.
Flitch Green Community Centre provides quality indoor sports, recreational and club facilities for the residents of Flitch Green and surrounding areas.
The centre is proud to be the home of both the award winning Rumblebees Cheerleader Squad and Essex Choi Kwang Do, as well as numerous other evening activities.
