Home-Start is a voluntary organisation committed to promoting the welfare of families with at least one child under 5 years of age. Volunteers offer regular support, friendship and practical help to families under stress, in their own homes, helping to prevent family crisis and breakdown. We provide this service for families within the Braintree District.

We hold a vast archive of artefacts from Maldon’s history but there is not always enough room, so our displays are updated on a regular basis.
