Marks Tey Parish Council welcomes responsible dog owners to use the playing field adjacent to the Parish Hall

In the interests of all users of the playing field the Council asks that dog walkers adhere to it's Code of Conduct below and remember the playing field is used by others particularly children

Marks Tey Parish Council ‘Code of Conduct’ for Dog Walkers on the Playing Field

  • Only the car park is a ‘dogs on lead’ zone all year round.
  • The Playing Field becomes a ‘dogs on lead’ zone during the summer months of June to September when it is likely to be at its busiest with families picnicking
  • Put your dog on a lead if it fails to come back promptly on command or if it has a tendency to chase wildlife.
  • Keep your dog in sight as a dog out of sight may be a dog out of control.
  • Put your dog on a lead when approaching children, school groups, joggers, cyclists.
  • Clear up after your dog. Always make sure you have a suitable bag with you – BAG IT, BIN IT.
  • Use the dog bins provided.
  • Make sure your dog has an ID collar on at all times.
  • Don’t assume that everyone likes dogs – many people are fearful of dogs.
