British Legion Closes its doors
Monday 14th March witnessed a final meeting of the Wethersfield and Shalford branch of the Royal British Legion being held at Jaspers Green Congregational Hall, with the lack of members a decision was made to close the branch. A call for more people to take an interest had been made via our Parish Magazine and this web site in proceeding months to no avail.
August 2011 was the anniversary of the branch 80 years, but since that time many members have been lost, in recent weeks John Harvey and this month Andrew Overall.

A sad loss to our community life which has also seen the WI and the local Friendship Club demise in recent years
