Marks Tey Parish Council includes of the villages of Marks Tey and Little Tey. Both are situated approximately six miles west of Colchester. The Council provides recreation facilities, including a children's playground, skateboard park, basketball court, football pitches and the Parish Hall complex. The Parish Hall is available for hire.

Havens Hospices provide respite breaks, symptom control and end-of-life care to youngsters and adults suffering life-limiting or life-threatening conditions. They also offer respite in an individual's own home. Support and advice is offered throughout their journey and the Hospices also run a Bereavement and Family Support Team.
