Bulmer is situated in North Essex close to the Suffolk border and the market town of Sudbury.
In 2011 unused land became available for purchase in the center of the village of Bures Hamlet. Through public donations enough funds were found to buy the land and to ensure it remained as a greensite in perpetuity. The Bures Common will be used as a facility for the whole village including fishing rights for village children.
This is the official website of the Parish Councils of Bures Hamlet (Essex) and Bures St Mary (Suffolk) who together represent the village of Bures. The River Stour running through the centre of Bures acts as the parishes boundary thus creating a uniqueness of a community under two parish councils, two district councils and two county councils.

Oor programme of talks, given mostly by native French speakers, covers art, literature, history, song, language and traditions. New members are always welcome. We are an outdoor activities & hiking group in Chelmsford. We do day walks and weekends away about once per month, and socials most Wednesdays.
The Chelmsford German Circle has been in existence since September 1990. It meets on the first floor of the Moulsham Mill, Parkway Chelmsford at 8:00 p.m. on the third Thursday in the month. Meetings are mostly conducted in the German language. They're informal and include films, guest speakers, quizzes and other social events.
