Parish Plan

The Future of Writtle: Our Parish Plan

What are your priorities for our village in the future? A major consultation exercise is underway and all Writtle residents are invited to contribute.

A public open meeting was held on Saturday 9 September 2006 in the Village Hall on The Green.  A Committee was elected by those present to start the process of compiling a Parish Plan, following the lead of many other villages around the country.

The meeting generated over 500 individual suggestions for things about Writtle that are good; those that are not so good and those that could be changed.  These have been discussed at meetings during 2007 and the most popular compiled into a questionnaire that will now go to every house in Writtle.

The responses to the questionnaire will be used to compile the final Parish Plan, which will be sent to all households and used for planning local services into the future.

This is YOUR opportunity to say what kind of community you want in the years ahead.
