Outdoor bowls club with club house, providing flat green bowling from April to September each year. Club nights are Tuesday's and Thursday's 6:30pm on, plus weekend friendly matches on Saturday's and Sunday's in the afternoon. Men's league Wednesday evenings. Everyone welcome to come along on Thursday evenings to try their luck and join in the fun. Training can be provided.

Steeple Parish Council comprises of 5 councillors who serve this small rural community on the Dengie Peninsula. The Council meet every 4th Wednesday of the month at Steeple Village Hall. The Council do not meet in August and meet on the 3rd Wednesday of December.
