St Thomas Church is the parish church for Bradwell-on-Sea, providing Sunday services, Weddings, Baptisms, Christmas, Easter and other festival services. We also offer social support to the community, including the Thursday Group. We are the church for St Cedds School across the road; the school regularly use the church. The church also looks after the St Peters -on-the-Wall Chapel.

The Group was set up to create an ongoing record of Sturmer and it's history available to all who are interested in the history and activities of the village. It has created a heritage trail in the village with information boards and leaflets with the help of a grant from the Heritage Lottery Fund. .

Sturmer Community Hub is a website for the village of Sturmer and surrounding area. We aim to provide information for the local community and signpost residents to the information they need. Thorrington is a small rural community near Brightlingsea in north east Essex.
The Tillingham and District Flower Show Limited committee organise an annual Flower Show event (Village Fete) consisting of Horticultural and Handicraft marquees, over 80 stallholders and field displays together with the traditional Tug of War competition. This years event is to be held on 26th July 2014 at 2pm preceded by a parade through the village from 1pm.

Tollesbury Congregational Church now is not only a church but also at the Community Centre. This is because the church premises are now leased by Tollesbury Community Association as a Community Centre.
